At Altitude (chapter 1/3)

The cable car cabin detached smoothly from the platform, and the world began to float beneath us. We had already ridden on the Ferris wheel - and sixty meters of height no scared us. The cable car stretched through the entire park - it was a ten-minute drive from start to finish.

The fucking cube was all glass - walls, ceiling - with just one bench. She pressed her forehead against the window, mesmerized by the trees shrinking below. I wasn't watching the view.
